About Me

WELCOME!  I'm glad you're here.

I'm Jen - Beloved Daughter of the King, wife to Dan and mama to 3 fun kiddos: 'Michelle', 'James', and 'Elizabeth' (not their real names).

I am also a reader of too many books, aspiring crochet-er, fan of BBC historical dramas, drinker of too much coffee and tea, and connoisseur of dark chocolate.

Our family has served in a mission aviation ministry for many years.  We are currently serving in our missions' home office in North Carolina.  We spent ten years in Papua New Guinea, all our children were born in Australia, and we spent a year in language school in France before spending three years in Cameroon, Central Africa.   We may hold American passports, but no longer know how to answer the question 'Where are you from?"

When I first started blogging at the end of 2011, I did so because I thought that my BA in Elementary Education and a few years of classroom teaching experience meant that I had something to offer.  If I have learned anything at all in the last few years it is how much that I still don't know.  Slowly, I am learning how to be humble and teachable.  Slowly, I am learning how to live.  In this space, I invite you to come and join me.

You can read my Blogging Manifesto here.

Look forward to chatting with you!
